An early map of Cyprus drawn by Giacomo Franco and engraved by Joannes Deutecum, with inset of Lemnos. Included in the 'Additamentum I' and 'Orbis Terrarum'. The inset map of Lemnos was drawn by Ortelius from a written account by the French naturalist and traveler, Pierre Belon (1553). Latin text on verso. First state.

Condition: Exceptional original colour; very short centrefold split in the lower margin, overall fine condition.
